| Founded in
1986 as a small asbestos consulting firm, AMI Environmental has grown
into a national, full-service environmental solutions provider. Here’s
how it happened: 1986: AMI
Asbestos Management, Inc. is founded by Daniel Taylor, one of the first
asbestos consultants in the country. AMI Asbestos Management, Inc. helps
institute many of the practices and procedures commonly used in the
industry today.
1990: To better meet its
clients’ needs, the company begins to diversify its services, leading to
a name change to better reflect new capabilities. AMI changes its
corporate name from AMI Asbestos Management, Inc. to AMI Group, Inc.
1995: After continued
exponential growth, the company completes its largest single contract to
date, worth $4.7 million.
1997: The continued need to
diversity and more fully service the health care and defense industries
leads to the creation of Clairmont Engineering, Inc., a sister company
specializing in turn-key environmental remediation solutions.
2000: AMI Group, Inc. moves to a
more global position when the company secures its first foreign
contract. To date, AMI has completed projects in several locations
throughout Germany and South Korea.
2002: AMI Group, Inc., Clairmont
Engineering, Inc. and AMI Intertrain, Inc. merge operations, creating
AMI Environmental. The result of that union is a multi-million dollar
company that stands as one of the nation’s premier providers of
integrated environmental services.
Today: AMI’s expanded reach now
covers all environmental issues affecting the renovation, demolition,
daily operations or purchase of a facility.
